Build a Wabery hosted agent

Este conteúdo não está disponível em sua língua ainda.

Pick this path when you want Wabery to write customer replies and keep the agent online. You can start with support, lead qualification, Reservations, appointment requests, an online store, or a custom agent.

If your own app, n8n workflow, Make scenario, or Zapier automation already writes replies, use the external agent guide instead.

Build a hosted agent

The three names matter:

Name What it means
Draft The version you are editing. Customers never see unfinished changes.
Private test A browser link or the embedded simulator using the current Draft.
WhatsApp Sandbox The shared WhatsApp number where you test the Draft from your own phone.
Live The version answering customers on connected client channels.

You can rewrite the Draft without touching Live. Publishing is the deliberate step that replaces Live with the reviewed Draft.

Choose a starting point during project setup:

  • Customer support for business questions and human handoff;
  • Lead qualification for a consistent confirmed enquiry;
  • Reservations for tables, classes, or private appointments;
  • Appointment requests when a person must confirm the requested time;
  • Online store for product questions, with an optional read-only Shopify connector; or
  • Custom agent for another focused customer job.

Wabery asks for the job, not a pile of settings.

Be concrete. This is useful:

Answer questions for a dental clinic, collect the treatment and preferred date, and hand off emergencies or anything about billing.

“Be a helpful assistant” is too vague. Say what success looks like and when a person should take over.

Pick Friendly, Professional, or Warm as a starting voice, then edit the detailed instructions if needed. Short conversational replies usually work better than brochure copy.

Agent automations and Flows can be prepared in English, Spanish, or Indonesian. For Smart Replies, choose whether the agent follows each sender’s language or always answers in one selected language. This changes customer replies; the Wabery dashboard itself is currently English-only.

Import a website, paste client details, or upload text, Markdown, or CSV files. Good knowledge includes:

  • services and prices
  • opening hours and locations
  • booking, refund, and cancellation rules
  • answers the team repeats every day
  • what the agent must never guess

You can skip knowledge for the first test. Just do not expect client-specific answers yet.

Website imports skip repeated store product and collection pages when Wabery detects an online store. Add the Shopify product connector when the agent should check public products, prices, variants, and availability live. The connector cannot read orders or change the store.

Sources and connectors are separate. You can edit saved notes, FAQs, and website addresses in the Draft before publication.

Automations handle matching messages first. Smart Replies can answer the rest with the hosted AI agent. If Smart Replies is off, unmatched messages use the configured fallback automation or go to the team.

Turning on Smart Replies can use Wabery Wallet credit. The activation screen shows whether usable credit is available. It does not add a card, charge the wallet, or enable automatic top-ups by itself. Voice-note transcription also pauses when the wallet cannot fund it.

Keep deterministic messages in Automations when possible, and use Smart Replies for questions that need the agent’s instructions and knowledge.

Select Build the agent. Wabery creates the Draft and opens the agent workspace. You can test in three ways:

  1. Draft simulator — chat beside the configuration while you edit.
  2. Private Wabery link — share a full-page browser chat without sending a WhatsApp message. Choose an expiry of 1 hour, 24 hours, or 7 days and a limit of 10 or 30 messages. Creating another link disables the previous active link. Anyone with the link can use it until it expires, reaches its limit, or is disabled.
  3. WhatsApp Sandbox — join the shared Wabery number and message the Draft from your phone.

Private-link conversations appear in the Inbox with a Sandbox label. The link uses the saved Draft; save changes before creating it. It does not expose live business actions or send a WhatsApp message. AI replies still use your Wabery Wallet.

In every test, send realistic customer questions. Ask something missing from the knowledge, try a configured automation, trigger handoff, and check the fallback. For Bookings or Leads, test the exact confirmation step rather than assuming a draft answer created a record.

The Sandbox quickstart walks through the phone test with an AI coding agent or entirely on the website.

Open Agent and review the Draft. Test again after changing instructions, knowledge, connectors, automations, forms, or functions. The save action appears only when the current Draft has changes.

External tools and MCP clients cannot publish Live. A person must review and publish from the website.

Organization owners and administrators can publish after the applicable technical checks pass. A client invitation is useful for collaboration but is not a mandatory publication approval. Publishing the agent is separate from turning on Leads or launching agent booking actions.

Open Channels and connect each destination the project needs:

  • WhatsApp Business for the client’s number;
  • Website chat for approved websites;
  • Instagram Direct or Facebook Messenger for the supported beta inbox and reply features; or
  • the shared WhatsApp Sandbox for continued testing.

Each channel has its own readiness and provider limitations. Publishing an agent does not connect a channel, and connecting a channel does not publish an unfinished Draft.

Read Connect WhatsApp before moving a number from another provider. Do not delete or deregister the old number first.
