Website chat

Este conteúdo não está disponível em sua língua ainda.

Website chat lets visitors message the same project from your site. Their conversations appear in the Wabery Inbox and follow the project’s hosted agent, automations, external webhook, or human-inbox routing.

  1. Open Channels.
  2. Choose Website chat.
  3. Upload your chat avatar, then set the welcome message, colors, and launcher position. If you do not upload an image, the widget uses a neutral default.
  4. Add every website origin where the widget may run.
  5. Review the live preview, then choose Review and publish.

The welcome message may contain up to 240 characters. Choose colors with enough contrast to keep the launcher and send controls readable. Avatar uploads accept JPG, PNG, and WebP images up to 5 MB. Wabery optimizes the selected crop as a 128 × 128 WebP for the chat header and messages.

Add an origin without a page path, for example:

https://example.com

An origin includes its scheme and hostname. Add https://www.example.com separately when the www site also needs the widget. You can allow up to 20 website origins.

If you leave out https://, Wabery adds it for you. HTTP websites are also supported, but HTTPS is recommended.

The widget rejects use from sites that are not on this list. Do not add domains you do not control merely to make an installation test pass.

After creation, Wabery shows an installation script containing the channel’s public identifier. Copy the script from Channels → Website chat → Installation and place it before the closing body tag on every approved page.

Use the script shown in your project rather than copying an example from another project. You can return to Installation and copy it again at any time.

If the launcher does not appear:

  1. confirm that the page’s exact origin is allowed;
  2. confirm that the saved installation script is present in the rendered page;
  3. check whether the site’s content-security policy permits the Wabery script and frame; and
  4. save any origin changes before testing again.

Website chat uses the project’s current reply configuration:

  • A Wabery hosted agent answers with its published instructions, knowledge, automations, and enabled Smart Replies.
  • An external integration receives the conversation through the configured webhook and replies through Wabery.
  • A handoff or inbox-owned conversation waits for a person to reply.

Website visitors do not need WhatsApp. Website chat does not create a WhatsApp message or a Meta messaging charge. Hosted AI replies can still use Wabery Wallet credit, and the project remains subject to its Wabery plan limits.

The Inbox labels website-chat conversations by source. When location context is available from the delivery network, Wabery may also show the visitor’s country; do not treat that signal as an exact location or verified customer identity.

Update the avatar, welcome message, colors, launcher position, or allowed origins from the same Website chat settings page. Saved changes apply to the installed channel; you do not need a new script for ordinary appearance changes. Choose Use default to remove your custom avatar and restore the default.

Removing an origin stops new widget use from that site. It does not delete past conversations. Disconnecting the channel and deleting retained customer data are separate decisions.
