Projects and project copies

A Wabery project is the boundary for one client, business, or product. Its channels, conversations, customer records, agent configuration, access, and usage stay separate from other projects.

Open Projects, then choose Add project. You can:

  • Start fresh with a Wabery agent and choose a support, lead, booking, appointment-request, online-store, or custom starting point; or
  • Copy an existing project to create an independent draft from saved configuration.

Use the advanced external-integration option only when your own deployed backend will write customer replies through Wabery’s API or webhooks.

Choose a source project, name the new project, and decide whether to include its knowledge. Knowledge is off by default because copied business information must be appropriate for the new client.

The copy can include saved hosted-agent configuration, automations, draft forms, appointment-request setup, Leads setup, and Reservations setup. References are remapped to resources owned by the new project. The copy starts as a draft with Smart Replies and copied workflows inactive.

The copy does not include:

  • conversations or customer records;
  • leads, bookings, waitlist entries, or customer-pass balances;
  • client or team access;
  • connected channels or provider credentials;
  • API keys, secrets, or external authorization;
  • live deployments, publication state, or spending history; or
  • service connectors such as Shopify.

When knowledge is included, Wabery creates an independent copy for the new project. Later edits do not update the source project. Review every page, file, FAQ, website address, business name, policy, and schedule before publication.

Only completed projects with one Wabery hosted agent can currently be copied. Projects whose external integration writes replies are not copy sources.

Before turning anything on:

  1. replace the project name and client-specific business information;
  2. review agent instructions, voice, language, fallback, and Smart Replies;
  3. review every copied automation and form;
  4. inspect lead questions and responsible people;
  5. check booking timezone, hours, inventory, staff, resources, and policies;
  6. reconnect this client’s channels and optional connectors;
  7. invite only the people who should access this project; and
  8. review wallet limits and provider charges.
