Beta channel capabilities

Wabery remains WhatsApp-first. Instagram Direct and Facebook Messenger are beta channels that an organization admin can activate in settings when the team understands the tradeoffs.

This page separates what Meta’s messaging APIs can do from what Wabery exposes today. If a workflow depends on WhatsApp Flows, WhatsApp templates, or template-based proactive sends, keep it on WhatsApp.

Channel notes

WhatsApp Business

WhatsApp is the production channel for structured workflows in Wabery. Use it when you need WhatsApp Flows, approved templates, interactive reply buttons, interactive lists, media, webhooks, automations, or proactive sends outside the 24-hour window.

Instagram Direct

Instagram Direct is useful for beta inbox visibility and simple replies. Do not use it for WhatsApp Flow collection, WhatsApp templates, or button-heavy automation logic. Meta provides Instagram messaging features such as send APIs and templates, but Wabery currently exposes only a narrow beta subset.

Facebook Messenger

Facebook Messenger is useful for beta inbox visibility and simple replies. Wabery exposes limited Messenger reply behavior, but not the full Messenger template surface. Do not use Messenger for WhatsApp Flow collection, WhatsApp templates, or WhatsApp-style proactive template sends.
